At Afterlight, we offer authentic pet portrait sessions captured on medium and large format film — a slow, intentional process that results in imagery full of soul and personality. This can be in any location of your choice, wheather it’s lying on the couch, in the favorite doorway, field they play in, we can capture it.

The difference is in the process. While most pet photographers shoot digitally and deliver hundreds of images overnight, we do things differently — intentionally, slowly, and on film. Every portrait session is captured on medium or large format film, a deliberate and unhurried process that demands patience, precision, and a genuine connection with your animal.

The result is not a gallery of disposable snapshots — it is a carefully curated collection of soulful, cinematic images that carry a visual weight and emotional depth that digital simply cannot replicate. Our portraits are printed on museum-quality archival fine art paper, built to outlast trends, screens, and hard drives. We are not the fastest. We are not the cheapest. We are the photographers who slow down long enough to truly see your pet — and capture something worth printing and claiming space on the wall.
